Bonjela provides effective relief from the pain, discomfort and inflammation caused by common mouth ulcers, cold sores, dentures and sore spots, as well as mouth ulcers and sore spots due to orthodontic devices.

Bonjela contains choline salicylate 8.7%w/w, cetalkonium chloride 0.01%w/w and also contains ethanol (33.45%w/w), glycerol, menthol, hypromellose 4500, anise oil, sodium saccharin and water.

Dosage/Direction for Use:
For topical oral use. 
Adults and Children: Apply approximately 1 cm or enough gel to cover the fingertip every 3 hrs. 
Infants >4 months: For Teething Troubles: Apply ½ cm and massage onto the sore area every 3 hrs, before meals and at bedtime (a transient tingling may be felt on application). In the treatment of ulcers, the surface should first be wiped free of mucous, to enable the specially prepared base to adhere more firmly. In the treatment of chronic gingivitis, it may be applied with wood points.
Denture Sores: Massage approximately 1 cm gel onto the sore area and leave at least 30 mins before reinserting the dentures. 
Maximum of 6 doses/24 hr.
Not suitable for babies under 4 months.
Do not apply bonjela directly to the dentures.
Do not exceed the stated dose.
Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to salicylates or any other ingredients. Reaction such as asthma attacks may occasionally occur in people sensitive to salicylates. 
Do not use this product if you are taking medicine for blood clots or gout or if you have a stomach ulcer.
If you are pregnant, consult your doctor before using this product.

Contraindications:
Bonjela should not be used for infants <4 months, or in patients with a history of salicylate sensitivity. Preparations containing aspirin should not be given to young children during treatment to avoid any risk of excessive salicylate levels.
