How To Use Stomahesive Powder?
Use Stomahesive Powder to dust onto the skin before placing your ostomy appliance onto your body.
It acts to protect the skin by absorbing moisture and extend wear time.
It is used when peristomal skin is raw and weepy.
The stomahesive powder will turn to a gel and slowly dry.
Note: it is not an adhesive.
The stomahesive powder can be used to "crust".
The crusting technique, in summary, is the process of applying ostomy powder and then dabbing it or spraying with a skin protective wipe or protective spray. Let dry and then apply your or 1-piece ostomy system.
