This book explains the role of Islam as the basis of practices and mechanisms in social development in Malaysia. There are various social issues discussed such as the birth of illegitimate children, underage marriages, lineage issues, poverty and so on.

Thus, this book tries to explain that spirituality and religion can be a mechanism in solving problems that occur in society. The 11 chapters in this book are broken down into two main sections. Part A: Spirituality and Religion in the Humanitarian Service contains six main chapters. While Part B: Entrepreneurship and Zakat Catalyst for the Welfare of the Ummah has five chapters. Examining and explaining this book on the aspects of spirituality and religion in social development can be a catalyst in the life of society today.
